Alum had a copy of my entire application. It was very conversational. We talked about my upbringing, background, early experiences and how they have shaped me and my MBA goals. Be clear on your story. There was a discussion about why LBS, why now, and why not other MBA programs. Be very clear on why LBS (and not let’s say INSEAD/HEC/other top program) is the right place for you. There was a short presentation for which you have 5 mins to prepare and 5 mins to present. Keep thoughts organized and structured. That matters more than the actual content.
Know your application inside out: work responsibilities, career progression, essays, other schools you’ve applied to, financing options etc.
LBS interviews run long (1-2 hours). Be prepared but more importantly, be calm. Have a water bottle next to you. Gauge the interviewer’s interest and reaction, and respond accordingly.
