Weekly Roundup for Clear Admit’s MBA Podcast
In this week’s MBA Admissions podcast we began by discussing upcoming MBA admissions deadlines. For this upcoming week, Imperial Business School, IESE and Dartmouth / Tuck have admissions deadlines; Duke / Fuqua is scheduled to have released its Early Action Round interview invites.
Graham highlighted Clear Admit’s upcoming webinar events. Beginning this week, Clear Admit will host six webinar events focused on going inside of the MBA admissions process. These events will feature admissions professionals from 30 top MBA programs. After this series, Clear Admit will host its Real Humans webinar series, as well as its admissions series that focuses on specific regions of the United States. Graham highlighted two recently published MBA rankings, from Business Week and from LinkedIn. Both did include the top three programs in their top three (Stanford, Harvard and Wharton), but not in the same order. We also discussed Clear Admit’s point of view on tiered rankings versus these ordinal rankings.
Graham highlighted the recently published Georgetown / McDonough and UCLA / Anderson class profiles. Both programs saw a decline in applications and enrollees, while keeping quality metrics strong.
Graham also noted a recently published admissions tip that focuses on polishing MBA admissions essays. Alex offered tips on how to do this, with the Ask Clear Admit bot. We then discussed a recently published article that addresses the ROI of a top MBA, outside of short-term job opportunities.
Clear Admit continues its Real Humans series which focuses on current students at top MBA programs. This week we profile MBA students from Cornell / Johnson.
