I've spent my entire career at FAANG company - Industrial Automation/Robotics, where I've been for over 6 years. I completed my undergrad while working full time, my company sponsored me for my undergrad and meanwhile also got three promotions.

1. Application Engineer (2 years) Started my career providing technical support and engineering solutions for customers. Worked directly with end users, and sales teams to help design and implement automation solutions, troubleshoot issues, and support projects from concept through deployment.

2. Business Development Manager (2+ years)
Moved into a commercial role focused on growing adoption of emerging technologies. Worked with customers across Canada to identify business opportunities, build relationships, develop go-to-market strategies, and help customers understand the business value of new solutions.

3. Customer Success Enablement (Current Role)
Currently in a national role responsible for driving adoption and success of strategic technologies across Canada. I work with customers, partners, sales teams, and executives to develop enablement programs, support major opportunities, and influence strategy around technology adoption and digital transformation.

Co-chair of my company's 2SLGBTQIA+ employee resource group in Canada. Formed this committee. Host quarterly events to spread awareness and promote inclusion.

What would you estimate my chances are at each school?

Should Ieven bother to apply at each of HSW? I was told by someone that although I am Canadian, but because of Indian origins, my chances at HSW are slim since Indians are most overrepresented.

What do you see as the biggest strengths and weaknesses in my profile?

How can i stand out? I am still not sure about my goals, i am okay with both tech or consulting or general management but in tech company.

Which schools do you think fit my background the best? including schools other than m7

1. Diversity: I am an Indian Male.
2. Acads: I have a BTech-Mtech dual degree from an IIT (got admit here with like 99.9 percentile in 1M+ students).
BTech GPA is 7.3/10, which is improved to 9/10 in MTech. I am using optional essays to explain the lower acads in BTech. My MTech GPA and then GMAT Focus 745(Q90, V88) shows an upward trajectory, which should be helpful.
3. Work: I have 5 years of software development experience in a big european tech company.
4. Leadership: I don't have a formal title for leadership in work. But a lot of leadership without authority and my letters of recommendations from current and previous supervisors can vouch for that.
5. Why MBA: Trying to build something on my own exposed gaps which MBA would help me fix. I have a strong thread going on with my childhood, college, extra curricular and with what I tried to built. Post-MBA goal of Product Management role in tech would build on top of my skills I gain at MBA to help me move in the direction of tech leadership which is my long term goal.
6. Inclination: Schools which have good tech recruitment for PM role, help build leadership skills for my long term goals, have good alumni network in tech and PM roles, and lastly a collaborative community that I would prefer. I would prefer to get scholarships because of tight finances.

Please help me choose right schools and strategy for fit + scholarships based on my inclinations mentioned in point 6 above.

I want to apply for a Part Time MBA because work is giving Tuition Assistance next year. Already have a decent salary with a consulting position.

Since I'm not leaving the Philadelphia area, I'm generally only considering part time programs in the area.

How does my profile look for Full time and Part Time however?

CPA, masters degree (3.5 gpa), 1.5 years of local non profit board experience, 615 gmat focus. Promoted to senior associate after 2 years at big 4.

Looking for an honest assessment of whether M7 schools are realistic for me, or if I should focus more on T10/T15 given my GPA.

I'm a South Asian applicant who graduated from the top business school in my country with a 3.44 GPA. My GPA was dragged down by some weaker semesters early on, but I was above 3.6 throughout my last two years and showed a pretty strong upward trend academically. A lot of the early struggles were related to ADHD, which wasn't diagnosed until later during university.

I also have a 334 GRE (169Q, 165V).

Career wise, I spent 2 years at a research agency where I was fast-tracked to a leadership role, and the last 4 years at a Fortune 500 FMCG in consumer insights. My current company relocated me from my home country to their Tokyo office, where I've been working for the past 2 years, so I do have international experience and exposure to global stakeholders.

Outside of work, I volunteer as a freelance consultant for an NGO back home, helping them secure international grants and design vocational tech courses.

My post MBA goal is to pivot into strategy consulting in the US.

One thing I'm unsure about: I was diagnosed with ADHD during university and have been on medication since. Is this something worth mentioning in the optional essay to explain the GPA, or would it be better not to bring it up at all?

Would appreciate any thoughts on:

Whether M7 is a realistic target

How much my GPA hurts relative to the GRE

Whether the international transfer to Japan adds meaningful value

Short-term: I want to pivot into PE or Infrastructure funds on tech/energy.

Long-term: I have family business on energy and power plants in Asia, which I want to expand into investment and operating platform on energy with technology.

Questions:
- I am thinking these 4 schools as round 1 (or maybe 1 more) and thinking part-time as round 2. Any change of programs/additional school recommendation?
- I know this is rather a hard career pivot and because I don't have previous experience on my family business nor finance, it is hard to weave in or show adcoms that I am serious. Thinking about previous startup experiences as the way to connect the dots. Any preference or advices on candidates for family business but without the family business background?

I am a judge advocate in the military, and will have 4 years in as a CPT when I would matriculate. I have worked in administrative law, trial counsel as a prosecutor, and a special assistant fed prosecutor, and now I work on large complex events in charge of the legal side. My undergrad and law school GPA are 2.5 my law school curve was a C. My undergrad degree was poli sci. I held local elected office while I was going to school and worked full time/raised a family with my wife. I am trying to build a realistic gameplan and expectations to maximize my outcomes. I am location agnostic. I am currently studying with TTP about 30 hours a week, and taking the GRE in mid December. I took a diagnostic without practice and got a 313 162V 151Q. I am heavily studying the quant sections to boost those numbers.

I’m a 26-year-old, LGBTQ+, with a very nontraditional background in fashion/creative entrepreneurship, and pageantry/live entertainment. My undergrad is from the top fashion school in France, specializing in haute couture and lingerie.

I founded a couture/creative company and co-founded a fashion brand in partnership with one of the nation’s largest pageant platforms. My work has grown from pure design into creative direction to leading one of the biggest national events. I was also selected for one of Thailand’s prestigious national recognitions for artisans.

Pageantry is a major cultural industry in Thailand and Southeast Asia, especially for the lgbtq+ community, intersecting with tourism, creative economy, entertainment, and the country’s growing medical/wellness economy. Thailand is also a global center for transgender pageantry. As a trans woman working in this ecosystem, I’ve had an opportunity to meet and work alongside my community leaders from around the world. This shaped how I see pageantry as a platform that can influence how people and communities are perceived.

EC: I also founded a nonprofit initiative using my expertise in creative media and entertainment to expand professional opportunities for trans sex workers and shift public perception, recognized by and partnered with leading national nonprofit and government institutions advancing transgender inclusion. I’ve also volunteered with UN-affiliated initiatives supporting LGBTQ+ youth entrepreneurship across Southeast Asia.

LORs: One is a senior executive leading one of the world’s largest pageant organizations, who has worked closely with me and can speak directly to my progression, leadership, and impact within the industry.

The second is a senior Thai government leader/former Director-General of the Ministry of Culture, who can speak in depth about my leadership, broader national impact, and the significance of the pageant industry to Thailand’s culture and economy.

Long term: I want to build businesses around pageantry/live entertainment and the wider creative economy. This is why I’m pursuing a traditional MBA rather than a fashion/luxury degree: the problems I now want to solve are business problems, which is how these cultural platforms scale, capture value, and create sustainable economic opportunities across adjacent industries.

GRE: 323 (165Q/158V). With HBS CORe, “Pass with honor.” For GRE, with another retake, I think I could reach roughly 325–328, but I don’t expect 330+ this round. Given R1 timing, further test preparation would take time away from other parts of my applications, particularly translating a very nontraditional career into an MBA context. I’d appreciate thoughts on whether a few additional GRE points would materially change my prospects at HSW, or whether the 323 is sufficient to focus elsewhere.

Interested in working with startups/enterpreneurship in EEMA, fintech. Think Moniepoint, TapTap Send, Blockchain, payments startup. I work at MBB in the US and have a 3.76 GPA from an Ivy+ university in the US. I have firm sponsorship. Strong leadership experience, started as project leader 1yr+6 months ahead of expectation. Short term goal: Guaranteed return offer from firm at an SM/D level return post MBA with financial sponsorship so goal is to leverage courses and experiential learning to focus on helping MM/SMB funds have a stronger more fulsome approach to diligence to ownership to exit lifecycle. Feel like I have the DD and strategy chops but still missing some of the core investment-focused financial expertise and operational know how to help smaller funds end to end, especially first time funds and smaller funds that don’t have $$$ to afford full-scale diligence and value creation teams want to come back and spearhead building an AI-led but strategy oriented diligence service that can be scaled across SMB/MM; granted there are a bunch of AI-led DD products out there but none have yet shown consistent sign of delivering real DD ROI, and value creation support

Long-term goal:
- try and transform the MM/SMB deals lifecycle/space: smaller funds need highly targeted and scalable support around DDs, advisory, exit strategy. SMBs need help transitioning ownership, selling to right buyer, maximizing multiples. Wish to create a platform that helps both sides (not on the same deals) with comprehensive financial and commercial/strategy insights during transaction process.

LORs should be strong and pretty highly thematic around leadership, innovation, incremental team contribution, and transformation.

Dream schools: R1 most specifically H and W (in the process of essays at the moment)
Overall target: rest of M7s (doing 3 more R1) and potentially Tuck and Haas/Stern (either R1 or R2 based on capacity)

Alternative post-MBA goals are around PE/growth equity investment roles in MM/LMM shops to get to similar LT goals.

Would love an honest profile eval around realistic chances at these schools, WHICH schools seem like the strongest fit, what I should focus on differentials over the next month plus, and where there are potential gaps.

I'm an engineer working in digital transformation at a Fortune 100 energy company with approximately three years of experience by matriculation. My role involves translating business requirements into SAP solutions while working across global stakeholders on transformation programs, process improvements, migrations, upgrades, and business divestments. I've also had opportunities to lead initiatives beyond my formal responsibilities and was promoted relatively early.

Outside work, community building has been a consistent theme throughout my journey. During university, I was involved across technical, entrepreneurship, photography, and comedy etc organized a startup recruitment fair connecting startups with students, and helped build student learning initiatives. Have worked in strategy/policy at a large utility for 3 or so years now, mostly focused on transmission and energy policy. Much more focused on policy but I have some financial experience. Lots of experience with data center interconnection and large load policy, which I would look to use to my advantage in applications.
