I had opted for an off-campus, but in-person interview in Delhi-NCR region in India, but that was changed to virtual interview.

I was matched with a 2nd-year student from Chinese descent, who had done an investment banking intern. She was awesome overall: super kind, comforting and really attentive. The overall interview was for over 50 minutes, with roughly 10 minute for questions and rest was our discussion. The only minor challenge I had was maybe she didn’t have the strongest command on English and didn’t understand some of my statements, but apart from it I felt my interview went really well.

Questions:

  • Introduction.
  • Talk more about the kinds of projects you do.
  • What do you mean by carbon markets?
  • What countries have you travelled to?
  • Biggest Achievement?
  • Disagreement?
  • Why MBA? (I included ST and LT goals here)
  • What Booth resources have you researched about how would that be helpful to you?
  • How will you contribute?
  • Some discussion about my hobby around watches.
  • Questions that I have for her.
