These were the main questions from the interview:
- Tell me about yourself.
- Why MBA?
- Why now?
- Why Ithaca/Cornell?
- What’s your plan if IB doesn’t work out?
- Where do you want to work after graduation?
- How will Cornell help you reach your goals?
- How have you prepared for IB and set yourself up to succeed?
- Who have you spoken with in the industry/school?
- Who are you outside of work? Any extracurriculars?
- If you were to choose, what would you change about your career up to this point?
I didn’t get to share many behavioural examples because he didn’t ask for them — he was focused on understanding my goals and career plan. He said I explained my plan clearly and succinctly. I’m not sure whether that means it went really well or if it was just a standard interview, but overall it felt solid.
