The interview was warm and conversational. They started by sharing their own background, then asked me to walk through mine from scratch. Most of the questions were behavioral and not the standard list, so I had to think on my feet. There was plenty of time at the end for questions.
Prepare a few flexible stories that you can adapt to unexpected behavioral questions – I hadn’t seen any of these questions in my prep so was a little frazzled.
Be specific on “Why Ross” (MAP, REAL, specific companies).
Questions asked:
- Walk me through your background and why you want an MBA.
- Why Ross, and why do you think it’s a fit for your personality and career?
- Tell me about a time a manager requested a last-minute change to the scope of a project. How did you handle it?
- How do you think about innovation and AI in your daily work, and where do you see it going?
- Tell me about a time you encountered a perspective at work that challenged your thinking.
- Tell me about a time you made a decision that went against a policy.
Questions I asked:
- Why did you decide to pivot industries?
- How did the MBA help you pivot?
- How has the Ross alumni network helped you?
- What do you wish you had taken more advantage of?
