The following Dartmouth / Tuck interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 Applicant who was waitlisted.

Interviewed in February by a second year student. It was a very routine and relaxed interview. 30 mins of questions from the interviewer and 15 minutes afterwards spent answering my questions to him about Tuck and his experience. Here’s the order:

1. Walk me through your résumé.
2. Why do you want an MBA?
3. Why do you need an MBA to get to your short-term goal?
4. Why do you want an MBA from Tuck? (Interrupted me to know the name of the Tuck student when I told him that I first learned about Tuck from a gmatclub blog post. And asked clarification on how I thought a small tight-knit community would be advantageous?)
5. Could you give me an example of a conflict in the workplace? (Follow up on this: How would learning from this episode come into play in a group activity at Tuck?)
6. Could you give me an example of a failure? (Follow up: At what point exactly did you realize it was your mistake?)
7. What clubs would you like to participate in at Tuck?
8. What would your global experience add to Tuck? (I have 5 years of experience in Africa)
9. How will Tuck help me in my career path?
10. How do I spend my time outside of work?

This lasted for the first 30 minutes.
