The following UPenn / Wharton interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them!

I interviewed later in the afternoon and got to go to a class and lunch prior to interviewing. I really enjoyed my day on campus, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the team based interview.

I knew one or two of the other interviewees in the room from the day spent around campus, and would say that was helpful, but unfortunately I think my group was just not extremely cohesive. I felt the 35 minutes was extremely scattered and rushed. Two members of my group spoke as often as possible, often without adding a lot to the discussion.

My advice is to really focus on interjecting when you have something very meaningful to say, and to avoid rambling on. I also knew the topic we picked didn’t make a lot of sense, but it is definitely tough to approach telling team members they are wrong or you don’t like the direction someone suggests in this setting as everyone is trying to stay positive and supportive.

I went into my 10 minute 1 on 1 pretty nervous after what I saw as a pretty disjointed group interview. The 1 on 1 was very laid back though. One of the students who was observing the group did the interview. We spoke about what she liked about Penn, living in Philly and why I wanted to go to Wharton.

Overall, the interview made me a bit more nervous about my prospects of getting in, but we will see!
