The following UPenn / Wharton interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them!

The TBD took place in San Francisco at the Wharton SF building. The building was very nice, and there wasn’t much going on at the time of day, so got to check out the facilities and the view. I purposely planned my flight so that I could go to the reception event before my interview, and I met two people who would be in my TBD group as well as the adcom interviewer. This really helped me be comfortable in the TBD.

Interview conducted by adcom. I brought in a résumé, and it didn’t seem like my interviewer was intimately familiar with my app.

TBD went very well and we had a great group. People’s 1 minute pitches did not go too long, Our group interacted well, and no one was too pushy or too quiet. Once the session starts, the adcom/interviewer fades into the background. We reserved a few minutes at the end to present our pitch, and all had a small portion of the presentation.

The 10 minute one-on-one interview was very brief, casual and low stress. Questions like:

What did you think about the TBD / is this how you normally behave?
Why Wharton / MBA?
Any questions for me?

The TBD takes a totally different type of preparation than does a normal interview. I think you really have to spend less time on the pitch and more time thinking about how you will interact with people (and how you usually interact with people) in a group setting.
