Presenter Bio – Eric Johnson

Eric Johnson, Executive Director of Graduate Career Services and Executive Career Coach at Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, leads an elite multi-year personal development program that’s mandatory for every student. Eric infuses practical advice and a step-by-step game plan into this rigorous experiential track that parallels academics. Graduates credit this distinctly Kelley experience with separating them from the pack to land their choice job – and put them on a solid path for all that life holds.

A 2001 Kelley grad, Eric brings real-world business acumen, global corporate management, practical advice, and humor to students looking to launch or boost careers (what he calls running to or away from something), while “finding themselves” through personal and professional development.

Prior to joining Kelley, Eric was most recently the chief marketing officer for Eli Lilly and Company in the United Kingdom, and has more than a decade of experience in marketing and sales leadership roles. He also has previous experience hiring Kelley students, as a former lead recruiter for Lilly USA Marketing. He worked as a retail branch manager for a regional bank in Nashville, Tenn., and has his undergraduate degree in finance from Florida State University.

A daily meditator, Buddhist Geek, Dharma Dad and, yes, Dudeist Priest, Eric writes frequently on personal and professional development, often marrying pop culture with career management lessons.
