We wanted to wish you a terrific New Year, and all the best for 2018, especially for those of you who are in the midst of applying to your dream MBA programs. With this in mind, we also wanted to reflect on what a great year 2017 was for Clear Admit—and we hope for our users, too. We thank you for that.
We set a record for number of pageviews for the site in 2017, sailing past our 2016 numbers (which had themselves exceeded all prior records). Engagement on the site was also at an all-time high: The number of comments on MBA LiveWire, DecisionWire, and ApplyWire now exceed 100,000, and average time on site is more than five minutes.
Much of the increase in activity on the site can be attributed to some of the new innovations we rolled out in 2017.
For one, we introduced our new chat platform, which has become very popular, especially as candidates await decisions from their target MBA programs. We also enhanced MBA DecisionWire—which debuted in 2015—so that users can now share scholarships offered by schools. This innovation proved especially helpful for those posting “undecided” entries, in which they were seeking feedback from the community.
Building on the success of DecisionWire, we also decided to launch MBA ApplyWire. Using this new tool, candidates indicate their target programs along with profile information and career goals. The Clear Admit community then chimes in with early-stage feedback on the original poster’s overall application strategy. Already, this new platform has hundreds of entries.
MBA LiveWire has been our flagship applicant tool for the past few admissions cycles, and we are thankful that the MBA community engages so extensively with it! LiveWire has proven to be a great signalling platform for when programs are releasing decisions.
