In early April, Clear Admit partnered with University of Illinois Geis MBA Program to offer an informative webinar entitled “How Experiential Learning in Your MBA Program Can Enhance Your Career.” The webinar was led by Jennifer Larson, director of Illinois MBA recruitment and admissions, and by Andrew Allen, Illinois’ director of action learning. They also were joined by Katie Canada, a current student. An interactive Q&A session followed, featuring thoughtful queries from participants.

Both Larson and Allen made a compelling case for why experiential learning is such an important part of the MBA curriculum. Namely, it provided a great way for students to test out their MBA learning on real-world issues. Canada pointed out that the action learning has allowed MBA students like her to learn about different industries by working on a project for a company in that industry. She mentioned a really interesting cost-saving project that her student team was able to deliver for Uber.
