The following Stanford GSB interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them!

I applied to Round 2 and received an interview invitation on Feb. 6th. I interviewed with a high-level executive of a boutique investment firm on Feb. 15th. The interview was scheduled quite easily and the interviewer was an alum from the 1990’s. Interview atmosphere was quite relaxed and in the meeting room of my interviewer’s office. It started very professional and we jumped into the interview. The interviewer only had access to my resume, which I sent in advance. He asked behavioural questions and wanted situations where I exhibited a given behaviour (i.e., tell me a time when you look on a leadership position). He then started to deep-dive on specific moments and the actions and decisions that I made. It was very specific and detailed to uncover my motivations and underlying values. After the first question, we went through 2-3 other behavioural questions. Each question took roughly 10 minutes to answer and it was mainly back and forth. At the end of the interview, the interviewer asked me if I had any questions for him. I asked two questions and approached the interview in back and forth conversational manner. Some parts of my question was difficult for him to answer because he graduated so long ago and there were significant changes to the curriculum and program since he graduated. Nevertheless, it was a fun and conversational interview.
