The following Columbia Business School MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Rolling Admissions MBA applicant. Good luck to them!

My interview was quite conversational and different from a “Typical” B-School interview. The Alum invited me to his home and I dressed professionally irrespective of the setting. He had read my resume extensively.

1. Right off the bat, the discussion started on my current company and responsibilities I have had here.
2. Then we moved on to the discussion about whole industry, market scenarios ever since I started working, and my contributions to the company and industry.
3. From here we moved on to my Post-MBA Goal.
4. How Columbia Fits into my Goals?
5. How would I Fit in Columbia? My contributions?

The interview lasted for about 80 minutes as per him (I did not check time) with majority of time spent on first 2 questions. He was genuinely interested in learning more about current industry and experiences. The whole discussion was very lively and we both shared our opinions the industry and society.
