Interviewed with a member of the adcom on campus in March. Application-based interview.
The interviewer started off by saying that they had seen my application and wanted to get to know me better. We discussed where I was from and what I liked most about NYC.
Questions
After reading other interview reports from Stern, I was prepared for a lot of Stern-based questions, but instead got a lot of behavioral questions. They asked about a time when I had made a mistake as a team leader and how I overcame it, what my communication style is like, etc.
Advice
I think with Stern it depends on the interviewer what type of experience you will have, so prepare for both. Also, my interviewer didn’t take notes, which threw me off a bit.
