UCLA Anderson Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / On-Campus

I participated in the school’s Super Saturday interview day on Saturday, February 1st. My interview took place at 11:15AM, and afterward the school provided lunch and a half-day of programming. I loved having the chance to connect with potential classmates, see the new building, and learn about the school’s offerings. It was super informative and an efficient use of time.

My interview was with a second-year student, also a woman, and it was blind. We went into a private room and she had a printed copy of my resume that she had already read through. Overall, the questions were fairly standard and my interviewer was highly engaged and friendly. Below are the questions I remember:

  • Walk me through your resume.
  • Why MBA?
  • Why Anderson?
  • Short-term/long-term goals?
  • Strengths/weaknesses?
  • What does “shared success” mean to you? (This is one of the school’s values, and question kind of threw me off guard)

I left the school that day feeling really excited about Anderson’s offerings, and pretty confident about my interview. I received a call in mid-March with an offer + $80k scholarship, and the student who interviewed me sent me an email, which I thought was a very nice touch.
