I was interviewed by an alum - I am unsure of how Ross pairs up interviewers / interviewees, but I was luckily matched with somebody from my industry and location (leading to seamless conversation starters).
Invited to interview on 3/2 and completed the interview on 3/8.

The interviewer asked me to keep my answers succinct and related to only latest experience in my life (both personal and professional). All of the questions and follow ups got completed in 30 minutes.
The questions asked were:
Can you walk me through your resume?
Why did you choose your line of work?
Why did you leave/stick with it ?
What are your biggest achievements in your latest career growth?
After having worked for X years, what got you excited for your MBA? What are the post-MBA goals that you have? And why?
If you are on campus, what are the 3 initiatives you will take to make the experience worthwhile for you and your class?
If you have magic powers to many any 3 wishes come true, what would they be?
What gets you excited?
Any questions for me?
The atmosphere was not too formal or informal, it felt like a conversation where you answer what you’re asked without getting nervous (if you know what you’re going to say). For some, listening to the instructions to keep the answers succinct may scare them and they might fumble during the interview.
Overall, the interview left me feel exhilarated. The interviewer seemed to really listen to what I said and also how I said it, when some questions were hypothetical, did I jump into them or take my time? The attention was on me (in a good way). They made me feel “they care.”
Overall, when you choose Rotman, you choose diversity and community. These are the two biggest factors that will shape you in your journey, so have an open mind and put yourself in uncomfortable situations, because Rotman is where it changes!
