Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
I was deeply entrenched in technical roles as an engineer, but I want to gain a broader perspective of how the business world operates. The business school provided me with valuable insights into areas such as marketing, finance, operations, strategy, and leadership, helping me to see how all these components work together to drive the success of an organization. 

Why did you choose OSU Fisher? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
Having been in the Columbus area for the last ten years, I witnessed the remarkable growth that has unfolded. I have confidence in the bright future of the Columbus area, and I want to be part of it.

What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to The Ohio State Fisher College of Business Class of 2025?
I hope to bring a multifaceted perspective as a project leader, a working mother, and a small business owner.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that didn’t get included on your application:
I started a play café business with my friend right before school started. I am excited about this new business adventure and eager to apply what I learned from school to my business.

Advice for Current Prospective Applicants:
–What is one thing you would absolutely do again as part of your application process?
1. Attend the fall preview event from Fisher. It gave me a holistic view of the program. 

2. Read Real Humans of MBA student posts from Clear Admit. Seeing two “real humans” from the post of Real Humans of the OSU Fisher MBA Class of 2024 who also have children was a huge confidence boost for me. It is also a great way to network with current students.

–What is one thing you would change or do differently?
Talk to more Fisher alumni. The more alumni you connect with prior to the start of the school, the better equipped you’ll be. Each person you speak with provides a unique perspective and valuable insights. 

–What is one part you would have skipped if you could—and what helped you get through it?
I spend an unnecessary amount of time doubting my decision to go back to school and question my ability to make a career pivot. However, I’ve come to realize that once you step out of your comfort zone, the sky is unlimited.

What is your initial impression of the OSU Fisher students/culture/community?
Diverse, fun, driven, and supportive.

What is one thing you have learned about OSU Fisher that has surprised you?
Strong connection with various companies. 

What is one thing you are most anxious about in your first year?
Finding a balance between school, family life, and my business.

What is one thing you are most excited about in your first year?
Engaging with fellow students from diverse backgrounds and listening to their stories.
