Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
After more than a decade working in sports marketing – specializing recently in driving growth and investment in women’s sport – I realized I wanted to take the next step in my career as a leader and also as an entrepreneur. I had reached a point where I had strong expertise in marketing, growth, and partnerships, but I wanted to bolster that with upskilling in finance, strategy, and broadening my global network to prepare for launching my own venture. For me, this is the perfect time – I have the experience to contribute meaningfully paired with the clarity on where I want to go next.
Why did you choose Esade? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
Esade stood out because of its reputation as one of the leading global business schools for entrepreneurship, its international diversity, and its focus on collaborative learning. Specific initiatives like the Women in Business Club and Esade’s eWorks startup accelerator were big factors. The opportunity to immerse myself in Barcelona – the sport, the culture and the language – was another big draw!
What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the Class of 2027?
I bring over a decade of experience in shaping the growth of women’s sport globally, which has taught me how to build businesses and partnerships in a space that is still emerging. I’m used to creating value where others don’t yet see the potential, and I’m excited to bring that entrepreneurial spirit to the ’27 cohort. I also have a penchant for long-distance endurance events (more recently rowing across the Atlantic in a team of women) – so I hope I can bring that resilience and collaborative leadership style to the class dynamic both professionally and personally.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that didn’t get included on your application:
Judy Murray (Andy Murray’s Mum) used to coach me at tennis – though you’d never know that now looking at my below average forehand(!).
Post-MBA career interests:
I’m interested in launching my own venture at the intersection of sport, wellness, and technology. I’m particularly focused on creating businesses that empower women and drive access to sport and wellbeing in urban settings.
Advice for Current Prospective Applicants:
–What is one thing you would absolutely do again as part of your application process?
Speaking to current students and alumni – it gave me a real sense of the Esade community and helped me picture myself there.
–What is one thing you would change or do differently?
I would start preparing earlier for the admissions test. Balancing work and applications was intense, and getting a head start would have made the process less stressful.
–What is one part you would have skipped if you could—and what helped you get through it?
Writing multiple essay drafts was tough, but it forced me to clarify my story and goals. Feedback from mentors and friends helped me stick with it.
What is your initial impression of the Esade students/culture/community?
Curious, open, and collaborative. I was struck by how genuine and supportive everyone has been – people are ambitious, but they lift each other up rather than compete.
What student organizations have you joined/are you hoping to join and why?
I’m excited to join the Women in Business Club, the Entrepreneurship Club, and Esade Sports Business Club. Each connects directly to my passions and career goals, and I’m looking forward to contributing as well as learning.
What is one thing you have learned about Esade that has surprised you?
The sheer diversity of the class – not just nationalities, but also professional backgrounds and life experiences. It makes every conversation feel like a learning opportunity.
What is one thing you are most excited about in your first year?
The chance to step outside my comfort zone and immerse myself in entrepreneurial projects with classmates from around the world. I’m also excited about exploring Barcelona’s sport and wellness scene together with my cohort (I hear Esade are the beach volleyball MBAT reigning champions – so we’d better get some practice in to ensure we retain the crown!).
