Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
I decided to pursue an MBA because I want to pivot into product management, where I can merge my engineering background with my passion for innovation and consumer impact. After several years leading projects in process improvement and brand expansion across Latin America, I realized I needed formal business training and a global network to elevate my career. The timing was right—I had accumulated enough leadership experience to bring real value to the classroom, while still early enough in my career to maximize the MBA’s long-term return.
Why did you choose Indiana Kelley? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
Kelley stood out to me because of its collaborative culture, strong product management pipeline, and the hands-on Academy model. The Business Marketing Academy, in particular, offers exactly the type of experiential learning I was seeking. On top of that, Kelley’s STEM-designated program, the personalized attention from faculty and staff, and the global fellowship opportunity showed me that the school truly invests in its students’ success. The combination of academic rigor, career support, and culture made the decision clear.
What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the Class of 2027?
I bring a global innovation perspective. Having led projects that expanded product portfolios across multiple Latin American markets, I’ve learned how to connect diverse consumer needs with scalable business solutions. I thrive at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and execution. My classmates can count on me to bring an efficiency mindset, cross-cultural perspective, and a willingness to push projects forward with both energy and structure.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that didn’t get included on your application:
I love experimenting in the kitchen. Recently, I’ve been perfecting my pizza dough and risotto recipes, often treating friends and family to “test batches.” Cooking is my way of relaxing, but also of applying my engineering mindset to something delicious.
Post-MBA career interests:
My immediate goal is to work in product management, ideally in tech focusing on innovation, go-to-market strategy, and building user-centered solutions. Long-term, I see myself leading global product teams and eventually driving innovation strategy at the intersection of technology and consumer lifestyle.
Advice for Current Prospective Applicants:
–What is one thing you would absolutely do again as part of your application process?
I would 100% invest time in networking with current students and alumni. Those conversations not only helped me understand fit but also gave me confidence in my decision.
–What is one thing you would change or do differently?
I would start practicing behavioral interviews earlier. I underestimated how structured my answers needed to be, and building strong stories using frameworks like STAR took longer than expected.
–What is one part you would have skipped if you could—and what helped you get through it?
The standardized test prep was my least favorite part. What helped me was building a disciplined routine and reminding myself that the GMAT/GRE was just one step in the bigger journey.
What is your initial impression of the Indiana Kelley students/culture/community?
My first impression has been how genuinely supportive and collaborative everyone is. From orientation to informal chats, Kelley students are the type who celebrate each other’s successes and step up to help when needed. There’s a sense of family here that’s hard to put into words, but easy to feel once you’re on campus.
What student organizations have you joined/are you hoping to join and why?
I’ve joined the Business Marketing Academy. Beyond academics, I’m interested in Kelley’s Tech Club, Consulting Club, Latin MBA Association, and Food Club. These groups give me opportunities to build technical skills, represent my heritage, and share my love for cooking with the community.
What is one thing you have learned about Indiana Kelley that has surprised you?
I was surprised by how accessible and invested the faculty are. Professors don’t just teach; they actively mentor students, invite discussions, and even help connect you with alumni and recruiters. It confirmed that Kelley is not just about academics, it’s about building lifelong relationships.
What is one thing you are most excited about in your first year?
I’m most excited about diving into case competitions and Academy projects. I love working in high-energy, collaborative environments where strategy meets execution. The chance to test myself in real-world scenarios alongside my classmates is exactly what I came here for.
