In this Real Humans: MBA Students, we get to know some new members of the Northwestern Kellogg MBA Class of 2027.

Leadership development runs through team-based courses and a highly collaborative culture–all of which drew these new students to the Kellogg program. To start, Declan Wollard, an Army artillery officer turned tech change manager, shares that he joined Kellogg for its inclusive team-first culture and leading consulting preparation. He brings cross-cultural leadership from deployments in Eastern Europe and gets involved with the Kellogg Veterans Association, the Consulting Club, and KWEST as he pivots to management consulting. Then, Halle Sterling brings experience from Rothschild & Co. and private equity roles at Siris and Berkshire Partners. She chose Kellogg for its collaborative environment and the Advanced Private Equity Experience to grow as a long-term investor while mentoring peers and engaging with the Private Equity, Ski, and Golf clubs. McKenzie Martin, a Pfizer Breakthrough Fellow, was drawn to Kellogg’s low-ego, impact-focused culture and abundant practicums such as the VC Lab, Growth Strategy, and Health System Management, and is building community as she prepares to return to Pfizer’s Strategy and Consulting group. Finally, Sanjana Pai, after five years in Accenture strategy, selected the MMM dual degree (for MBA and MS in Design Innovation) to blend design innovation with business leadership, brings a root-cause problem-solving mindset to social innovation goals, and is leaning into Kellogg’s small-group, collaboration-forward community while exploring the Chicago area.
