Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
I wanted to complement my academic background with a strong foundation in business management. Having spent several years in research, I realized the importance of understanding leadership, teamwork, finance, and strategy to effectively translate scientific innovation into real-world impact. Now feels like the right time to make this transition, as I aim to move from an academic environment to a more corporate and interdisciplinary setting.
Why did you choose University of St. Gallen? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
The University of St. Gallen stood out for its strong reputation within the DACH region and its strategic location. Living in Zurich, the ability to commute easily to campus made it a highly practical choice. Beyond geography, what impressed me most was the dynamic and collaborative energy of the program team, which gave me confidence in the school’s culture and approach to learning.
What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the Class of 2026?
I bring a deep background in pre-clinical academic research, which offers a unique perspective to discussions on innovation and healthcare. Given Switzerland’s position as a hub for the pharmaceutical industry—and St. Gallen’s strong focus on pharma collaborations—I can contribute insights that bridge scientific research with business strategy, while further developing my leadership within this space.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that didn’t get included on your application:
I love cooking and gardening—they’re my creative outlets and a great way to unwind after a long day, additionally hiking and some adventure sport (not the risky kind) is something I enjoy.
Post-MBA career interests:
My post-MBA goal is to transition into a program or product management role within the pharmaceutical industry, where I can bridge scientific research with strategic business decision-making. In the long term, I am also open to exploring consulting opportunities focused on life sciences, healthcare innovation, or R&D strategy. Both paths would allow me to leverage my academic research background while developing the leadership and management skills needed to drive impact in the global pharma ecosystem.
