Hey everyone! I'm Nelson, New York City native, structural engineer turned product manager, and NYU Stern MBA candidate driven by the goal to build products that help people reach their aspirations. My path has taken me from structural engineering to building digital tools at JPMorgan Chase and exploring merchant solutions at American Express. Across those experiences, I’ve enjoyed understanding what people need, untangling complex problems, and building something that makes their lives easier.
That people-first mindset extends beyond my work. During the pandemic, I helped over 100 people find new or better career opportunities. At Stern, I serve as AHBBS Co-President and STA VP of Corporate Relations, helping students build connections, explore careers, and shape the community around them.
Personally, I’m a baseball player, anime fan, and aspiring entrepreneur who enjoys bringing people together. Sometimes that means collaborating on a product idea; other times, it means starting an anime group chat that grows into a community across MBA classes. I value the conversations that begin with a shared interest and grow into a lasting relationship. “Working with people, for people” has been a consistent thread throughout my life on the baseball field, at work, and in the communities I help build.

I'm a 2nd-year MBA student at NYU Stern specializing in Supply Chain Management and Global Sourcing and Sustainable Business and Innovation. Born in Grenada and raised in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, I come from a nontraditional background with experience spanning social impact, sustainability, workforce development, and community organizing. Before business school, my career was rooted in mission-driven work, and I came to Stern to expand my strategic and business toolkit while exploring opportunities in retail strategy, circular commerce, and sustainable supply chains.
This past summer, I interned with the Fair Labor Association, where I worked on responsible recruitment and ethical supply chain initiatives. As a first-generation MBA student navigating a nontraditional path into business, I'm passionate about helping prospective students recognize the value of their unique experiences and showing that there is no single path to business school. I'm always happy to connect and share insights about my Stern experience. Currently, I am an EmpowerHer and Consortium Fellow and the VP of Events at AHBBS.
