I had visited the campus last year, so attending a class or taking a tour was not on my agenda. Moreover, my interview was scheduled on a Saturday, so no chance of attending a class. Overall, it was a nice experience but I felt that the interview perhaps could have gone more engaging.
- Walk me through the resume
- Why MBA
- Why Duke
- Why now
- Leadership experience outside work
- Leadership experience where I failed
- In a team, where one partner is quiet or unwilling to work, how will you motivate or work with him/her
- How will you contribute to duke
- How will you network at Duke
- How will your friends describe you
- How are you unique? why should we take you?
- What motivates you?
I was careful not to talk too much on one topic and answer to the point yet be more conversational. After going midway I was asked if I had any questions for the interviewer. I asked couple of them and then the rest of the interview proceeded with more questions from the interviewer. This was my first b-school interview, so I was a little nervous before the interview, but when it started, I got comfortable. The interview though took lot of notes, and there were no follow-up questions on the same topic. I felt like the interviewer wanted to finish the given list of questions. My interview lasted @ 45 mins. (including my questions to interviewer)
