In this edition of our ongoing Real Humans: MBA Students series, we head to upstate New York to meet some new members of the University of Rochester Simon Business School Class of 2027.

Analytical to the core and tight-knit by design, Rochester Simon’s MBA Class of 2027 brings together veterans, founders, operators, and mission-driven leaders who are ready to turn data into decisions. Former U.S. Army Field Artillery Officer Allie Disque is leaning into Simon’s STEM-designated, quant-heavy curriculum to pivot into corporate finance, bringing the calm systems and time-management rigor that kept teams on track in high-pressure settings. Chidera Ekeocha moves from global trade management to brand building in CPG, drawn by Simon’s small-cohort community and analytical depth, while Raunak Bhushan, a project manager from SAP, seeks to shift from execution to strategy and operations through the school’s data-driven approach and collaborative culture.

From Athens, startup founder Georgios Bolatoglou chose Simon for its finance strength, live cases, and unusually responsive alumni, eyeing the Simon School Venture Fund to deepen his investing toolkit. Then, Cleveland native Kaelyn Brown arrives from nonprofit education to pursue leadership development and general management, spotlighting Simon’s blend of rigor, empathy, and community impact. Rounding out the group, tech-sales pro Tim Chormann is translating frontline commercial insight into ambitions in venture capital and private equity, attracted by research-based economics, hands-on funds, and a culture that pushes you to grow. Together, these students embody Simon’s hallmark ROI: analytic training, real-world immersion, and a community that lifts as it climbs. Read on for their stories.
