U.S. News 2022 Business School Rankings: The More Things Change, the More They Stay the Same
U.S. News & World Report has released its 2022 Best Business Schools Rankings. Despite a rather tumultuous year in world events, this year’s results in the MBA rankings realm remain largely unchanged. Stanford Graduate School of Business ranked number one this year, no longer sharing the top spot with the Wharton School, which came in second. Northwestern Kellogg Hits Fundraising Milestone of $500 Million
Thanks to the recent $5 million gift from Michael ’88 JD, MBA and Cari Sacks, Northwestern Kellogg has surpassed their fundraising campaign milestone of $500 million. The Wharton School & Deloitte Partner to Advance Inclusive Leadership

New Business & Society Institute at Emory Goizueta Tackles Inequality, Climate Change
In early March, Emory Goizueta launched The Roberto C. Goizueta Business & Society Institute, renaming Social Enterprise at Goizueta. The new name represents an elevated commitment to social and environmental impact from the business school and The Goizueta Foundation. Furthermore, the Institute creates interdisciplinary study that explores the connections between business practices, market structures and social and environmental outcomes. In particular, business students will address the challenges of inequality and climate change. Michigan Ross announced the first recipient of the Black Business Student Association (BBSA) Fellowship: TJ Banks, Ross MBA ’21. The Full-Time MBA team and Michigan Ross faculty selected Banks for the inaugural $10,000 fellowship. The BBSA Fellowship was created to honor Black excellence at Michigan Ross. HEC Paris’ Efforts for Zero-Waste Campus
Though already considered France’s most environmentally-friendly business school, HEC Paris continues to raise the bar with ongoing recycling & waste reduction initiatives. The business school, just 17km from the center of Paris, kick started plans to have a zero-waste campus in mid-2020. One goal is to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill. Another goal is recycling as much of its food, plastics, bottles, boxes, cigarette butts and paper as possible. Healthcare at Kellogg Bolstered by Gift for Biopharma
Northwestern Kellogg alumnus, Kent Hawryluk ’07, gifted $3 million to the business school, establishing the Hawryluk Biopharmaceutical Scholars Endowed Fund. The fund builds upon the existing Program on Healthcare at Kellogg (HCAK). The scholars will be Full-Time MBA students with a demonstrated interest in healthcare. They will receive scholarships and benefit from dedicated co-curricular programming. Additionally, the scholars will engage alumni and other experts in the healthcare management field, particularly in biopharmaceuticals, through treks to industry hubs, presentations from field leaders and mentorship. The Financial Times 2021 MBA Ranking Reveals a Year in Disruption
You can find the Financial Times 2022 MBA Ranking here. The COVID-19 pandemic uniquely impacted The Financial Times 2021 Global MBA Ranking, released this week. Many of the top 10 U.S. schools opted out of the ranking this year to focus on the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite this, more than half the rankings are U.S. programs. Data from MBA programs worldwide show that demand for MBAs and salary numbers remained strong through the end of 2020. Kellogg MBAs Choose Cheetos for Best 2021 Super Bowl Ad
Each year, MBA students along with marketing professors, Tim Calkins and Derek Rucker, at Northwestern Kellogg evaluate the commercials during the NFL Super Bowl—easily the most expensive air time of the year.
