The interview was very laid back and straightforward – Super casual to begin where the interviewer and I introduced ourselves and discussed our respective backgrounds and career paths. We then started through the traditional questioning:
- Tell me a bit about yourself.
- Why do you want an MBA?
- Why CBS (Columbia Business School)?
- How do you see yourself blending into the CBS community and contributing to campus life?
- Tell me about a time when you worked on a team-based project and what your contribution was.
- Tell me about a time when you resolved a conflict within a team.
- How has AI impacted your business, and how did you approach the difficult conversation of reducing headcount?
- Anything else you’d like to discuss?
- Any questions for me?
Overall very straightforward and what I had expected. The 2nd-year MBA student was super nice and the interview was super conversational.
