When I showed up for my Kellogg interview (part time mba), I was asked to present my resume and fill out some paper work regarding my career goals, short and long, and my intended concentrations at Kellogg. Interviewer, though ad com, was very informal. Had a little chat about the lovely Chicago downtown, life in general! Then got down to brass tacks. The interview was pretty much spelling out the essays and ensuring I wasn’t making things up or got someone to write it for me! (B4 the interview, I did spend about an hour or so talking out loud to myself about some of the answers I would share. Not completely rehearsed but just a type of warm-up if you will.) It was a chatty experience at the interviews.
- Walk me through your resume. (there were no pauses, so be prepared to cover your resume from start to finish). Asked me why I chose my undergraduate degree and why I pursued Masters also
- Details surrounding current job. Challenges in the current job.
- Why MBA and why now? Talked about my short and long term goals here and how MBA now is vital.
- What has been your most significant leadership experience?
- Any failures you have experienced as a team and how you handled it.
- Why Kellogg? What will you contribute to it?
- Do you have any questions for me?
My interview lasted 35 minutes. I knew who was going to interview me in advance. So I read up and used their background for some of the answers….
Good luck! Go through the rest of the stuff here at clearadmit. It really helped.
