After this, we waited in the main Zoom room while each person was called into a breakout with the adcom for a

Why Columbia? – Tell me about how you would react in a team that didn’t work well together. – Asked more about specific clubs in Columbia I would join. – Any questions for me?

MIT Sloan MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 3 / Adcom / Zoom
Had a fantastic interview with the MIT Sloan Adcom team. I was a member of the waitlist from Round 2 and was invited for interview at Round 3 Decisions on 24 April. Very conversational, open and friendly, felt more like a thoughtful chat over coffee with a mentor compared to a formal interview. 1. Any updates since you submitted your application and waitlist updates? I spoke on activities that had materialized over the last couple of months, that I did not mention in the application or waitlist updates. It led to a tangential conversation on the current

INSEAD MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumni / Off Campus
So my first interview was on 24th April and second on 25th April, 2025. The first interviewer graduated back in 2009 when she was already 35+. She mentioned initially that the interview would be quite conversational, but because she was majorly in Corporate Social Responsibility, it was very difficult to help her understand my career motives and ST/LT goals. We had a nice chat, but her questions seemed out of place and were not specific questions. She was trying to ask a question and then digress the topic in a different direction. This made me meander in multiple direction as

Cornell Johnson MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-Year Student / Virtual
I really enjoyed the entire process at Johnson. My interview was with a 2nd-year student and was more conversational. You could tell that Johnson has a tight-knit community with everyone willing to help each other. The interview was mostly resume-based and open-ended questions. 1. Why MBA? Why Johnson? 2. What are your thoughts about living in Ithaca? 3. Walk me through your experiences. 4. What are your short-term and long-term goals? Why?

Texas McCombs MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 3 / Video Assessment / Online
I just completed the Kira assessment today. It wasn’t that bad, and I got similar questions about what you will find on this site, among others. Definitely prep prep prep beforehand. I had rehearsed 4 of the 5 questions I got, and they felt like softball questions. I guess we shall see! 1. Tell about yourself outside of your professional experience. 2. TMAT, when someone above you changed your plan at the last minute, how did you respond, and what was the outcome? 3. TMAT where someone’s voice or input wasn’t being heard. What did you do, and

Cornell Johnson MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
Resume-based interview with second year. It felt conversational, but that also meant some non-typical questions and follow-ups that dug into my experiences vs. more standard questions. Interviewer was helpful and chatty, was very talkative about her own experiences – 30-min interview and 30-min Q&A because of how willing she was to open up. Expected Qs include introduce yourself, why MBA now, experience managing people, thoughts on recruiting.

(2Y FT MBA) The interview was with a member of the admissions committee, and it was a pleasant experience overall. Berkeley Haas MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Pre-Recorded / Kira
By the time I got my interview invite, there were no more slots available so the pre-recorded interview on Kira was the only option. I can’t say I wasn’t disappointed because they always say it is better to do an interview with a student or alumni but that’s life. Just as I’ve seen reported by previous interview reports, there were 3 fixed questions and 2 are random behavioural questions, so I made sure I had the 3 fixed questions prepped well and practiced a few key stories for the behavioural questions. Questions asked: – What do you hope to

Stanford GSB MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alum / Virtual
Alum was a very senior exec. Relaxed, conversational interview, lasted just over an hour. About 30 minutes of behavioral questions followed by 30 minutes of more open chatting. No “tell me about yourself,” “why MBA,” or “why Stanford” questions, just three TMATs that we dug into a bit more detail on. Had a great time. The three TMAT questions were: 1. TMAT you accomplished something you were really proud of. 2. TMAT you went above and beyond. 3. TMAT you helped someone else develop their skill set. These were actually the only “planned” questions for me. All of the others

USC Marshall MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / First-Year Student / Zoom
I had my interview earlier this week (3/4) with a first-year student. The interview was conversational and my interviewer was very nice and understanding of any nerves I had. Since I’m filling this out a few days after, I can’t quite remember what I was asked but I’d recommend you be prepared to address the following topics: – Tell me about yourself / walk me through your resume. – Why Marshall? – Short / Long-term Goals? – TMAT you faced a challenge. – Leadership example. – Questions for the interviewer. Another thing worth noting,
