Berkeley Haas MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Pre-Recorded
I attended a pre-recorded interview. There were pre-recorded questions to be answered within 3 minutes and, before that, 45 seconds to think. The questions are accompanied by a brief intro to each of Haas’ Defining Leadership Principles, so knowing these well will enable students to shaped their answer closer to what the adcom expects. Q1: What do you hope to accomplish out of your business school experience and why is Haas the right place for this? Q2: Describe an experience in DE&I, whether in the workplace or at a community organization, that will enhance your contribution to the Haas

Berkeley Haas MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Google Meet
The questions I was asked were word-for-word from the Haas interview information video. One about my resume and then one for each of their 4 defining principles. It was very friendly and informal, and the interviewer seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me and in helping me make my case well. I would absolutely watch the official Haas interview information video and prepare answers for each of the possible questions they list.

Georgetown McDonough MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
30 minute Zoom interview with a second-year student Pretty standard interview questions: TMAY. Why Georgetown? LT/ST Goals? Why MBA and why now? Tell me about a time you worked on a diverse team. How will you handle a quant heavy course load? What factors would you take into account if you get into Georgetown? My interviewer was chill, not overly enthusiastic, but took the time to stay a little later to answer all of my questions.

UCLA Anderson MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
Really enjoyed it! It was a 2nd-year student and very friendly and conversational. It was the basic questions everyone is listing. Why now? Why UCLA? What will you contribute to the community? Short- and long-term goals? Also got the question about quant readiness since I chose to apply test optional. Overall it was super helpful in learning more about the school and what they have to offer so be sure to ask questions if it’s going well.

Georgetown McDonough MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Zoom
Even though my interview was with an Adcom member, they said it was a blind interview; they didn’t know anything about me or my application, but had a copy of my resume (I assume it was shared just before the interview start time). I was asked a mix of goals, school fit, and behavioral questions: – Tell me about yourself and your professional background and why you’re applying to business school. – Asked about my plan B if my plan A post-MBA role didn’t work out. – Why Georgetown? – How do you feel about quantitative rigor

Explain your perspective on excellence vs performance. (this was my fav question) 6. How do you instill this type of culture? (curveball but I ran with it) 7. How are you preparing for the rigor of the program? 8. What questions do you have for me? I gotta say Georgetown blew me away. The adcom fully understood me in a way I have not experienced

CBS MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumnus / Zoom
I interviewed with a CBS alumnus who graduated 13 years ago. My biggest takeaway from having an alumnus as your interviewer is that you need to be ready to go deep into your short-term and long-term goals. We had a great conversation, he was extremely nice. The first question he asked me was, How do you envision yourself at age 50? From there, we went deep into a discussion about my goals and spent almost 30 minutes talking about them. Halfway through the interview, he asked me, Why CBS? and Why an MBA? But honestly, I don’t really think he

Washington Foster MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Zoom
The interview was with a senior member of the admissions team. I received the name of my interviewer when I selected my timeslot. It was about 45 minutes. I prepared for a standard behavioral/resume-based interview, but this was the most unconventional interview I had in the MBA process. It was VERY conversational, and I don’t have a list of questions I was asked because most were embedded within the conversation. My advice for people preparing would be to be ready to adapt to questions, and have stories that you could naturally embed even when not asked a question in the

Interview questions: Tell me about yourself. Why Georgetown? What are your future career goals? Tell me about a challenge you faced at work and how you handled it. HBS MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / On-Campus
The interview was relatively straight forward. The Adcom was very warm and honestly enjoyable to talk to. As other interview reflections have mentioned in the past, you are brought up to a waiting room with other candidates and then called in one at a time. Interview questions focused on my career journey, industry, Why HBS?, and a few other resume based questions. Overall, I didn’t stress the prep and just focused on being “me.” I think it went over well and will be happy with the outcome as I put my best foot forward.

Chicago Booth MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Alumna / Zoom
Interviewed 2/27 with a recent alum from Booth. Entirely resume based. It was a pretty standard Why MBA/Why Booth/Behavioral Questions interview. I had requested an in-person interview with an alum, but I guess there weren’t any available in my large city!! 1. Tell me about yourself. 2. What three words would your coworkers use to describe you? 3. What three words would you use to describe yourself? 4. TMAT you had to work with a group of completely new people. 5. Why Booth? 6. Ohio State Fisher MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Virtual
Waited 10 mins to realize the interviewer was unable to let me enter the meeting due to a technical glitch. Interview eventually started 25 mins late and lasted 40 mins. Surprisingly a LOT of questions were asked, about 8-9 as far as I remember. Standard questions though. None from resume. No intro. Straight to why MBA, why now, why Ohio? Short term, long term goals? Tell me your leadership style? Give an example where your ideas were challenged. Give an example where there were conflicting KPIs. How important is networking for you in the MBA? Did you network with anyone

Chicago Booth MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
I had opted for an off-campus, but in-person interview in Delhi-NCR region in India, but that was changed to virtual interview. I was matched with a 2nd-year student from Chinese descent, who had done an investment banking intern. She was awesome overall: super kind, comforting and really attentive. The overall interview was for over 50 minutes, with roughly 10 minute for questions and rest was our discussion. The only minor challenge I had was maybe she didn’t have the strongest command on English and didn’t understand some of my statements, but apart from it I felt my interview went really

Chicago Booth MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
My interviewer started by setting a very clear agenda for the 1 hour call (45 min interview + QA) and gave a detailed introduction of his own background. The atmosphere was professional and quickly became conversational. He was taking notes, but maintained strong eye contact and engagement. Questions: Walk me through your resume/Tell me about yourself. Follow-up: What specific skills did you have to learn when you transitioned to…? What were the difficulties? Short-term and long-term goals? Follow-up: pressed slightly on the logic of pivoting and wanted to understand why my post-MBA choice was a necessary step. If you don’t

30-minutes interview. Structured, but less strict than others have reported. Interviewer was very warm and conversational, although we did hit on very structured questions.
