Columbia Business School (CBS) has appointed a new associate dean for its MBA program, the school announced last week. Michael Malone will assume the associate dean position on August 15th, a role in which he will be focused on the administration of the MBA and Executive MBA programs, including management of the MBA Office of Student Affairs, the EMBA Program and Admissions.
Malone returns to CBS from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, where he has served as managing director of the Career Management Center since January 2012. Prior to that, he directed career education and advising in CBS’s Career Management Center, including helping to launch the Career Coaching Program.
In returning to CBS, Malone will replace Amir Ziv, who served as vice dean and Samberg faculty director from 2005–13. Ziv, for his part, plans to return to the faculty and resume his focus on research and teaching.
