The following Northwestern / Kellogg interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them!

Interviewed with an alumnus on a weekend last October. We met in a coffee shop that was pretty quiet so we had no trouble communicating and the entire thing was quite casual, except for the Kellogg guidebook he was taking notes on, which I’m assuming had interview prompts and guidelines.

We started off giving each other a bit of brief background for ourselves. Turns out we were working in the same company for about a year and a half. Afterwards, we proceeded to the interview proper, which was quite straightforward. Questions asked were:

1. Walk me through your resume and how it led to you applying for an MBA (basically synthesized the common questions: walk me through your resume, why MBA, why now?)

2. Why Kellogg?

3. What particular courses are you interested in taking in Kellogg?

4. What do you think are your strengths and weaknesses?

5. Do you have any other questions for me?

Afterwards, we talked about his campus experience as an international student, what he did in Kellogg that he’d do over and change, and some casual conversation on what other schools I applied to and his history interviewing applicants.
