The following UT Austin McCombs interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them!
My interview with was an alumni who graduated about 4 years ago. He currently works at an investment bank.
Blind interview, so I provided him my résumé, which he walked through. He mentioned my score and high quant score. He asked about my work experience and what I did after graduating from undergrad. Talked about interests.
Spent a little over an hour in a casual restaurant setting.
Specific questions he focused and reiterated on:
- What do I plan on doing with an MBA? (Entrepreneurial aspirations)
- Why McCombs?
- Why MBA? Can I achieve my entrepreneurial goals without an MBA/dropping 100K+?
Afterwards, he recommended classes/professors he recommended I take if I got accepted. Also he suggested I make a push for any increased scholarship money. Overall, he had my interests in mind, and was a great interviewer.
