LBS Welcomes 3 New Finance Executive Fellows

This fall, London Business School (LBS) has welcomed three senior business executives as Executive Fellows in finance, chosen in part for their commitment to ensuring that finance serves society as a whole. The fellows all come from senior roles in business at various finance companies and will bring their talent, backgrounds, and experience to the school.

“We are delighted that these three highly experienced and respected professionals are joining LBS as Executive Fellows of the finance faculty,” Professor Suleyman Basak, a joint chair of finance at LBS, said in a news release. “Their appointment comes at a time when business in general, and finance in particular, is coming under close scrutiny for the role it plays in society.”

The three Finance Executive Fellows are as follow:

  • Stan Beckers is the chair of LBS’s AQR Asset Management Institute. He was also a member of the management board of NN Group, responsible for NN Investment Partners (ING Investment Management).
  • Tom Gosling is a partner at PwC’s Executive Remuneration Practice. He also holds a role with the Purposeful Company Task Force, which is a consortium of FTSE companies, investment houses, business schools, consultancies, and policy makers.
  • Dominic Rossi is a global chief investment officer of equities at Fidelity International. He’s also a member of Fidelity’s senior management team on the Global Operating Committee as well as the Purposeful Company Task Force.

Professor Narayan Naik, a joint chair of finance at LBS, described the three new Executive Fellows as an asset to the school, saying: “Tom, Stan, and Dominic are committed to ensuring finance serves society at large, not just short-term profit, a view which I and colleagues are keen to promote. They bring their practical experience to bear along with their contacts, and with business at a critical moment, we need the best and brightest to join LBS in flying the flag for ethics and long-term business vision.”

LBS’s finance department is considered one of the best in the world, enhanced by its location in London, a global financial center. MBA students interested in finance have the opportunity to customize their education with 18 courses in finance including “Credit Risk,” “Capital Markets & Financing,” “Value Investing,” and more.
