Count Down to HBS Round 2 Deadline

With Round 1 now in the rearview mirror at Harvard Business School (HBS), the folks in Dillon House have their attention squarely focused on Round 2. HBS Managing Director of MBA Admissions and Financial Aid Chad Losee took to his blog yesterday to remind applicants that the Round 2 deadline is just a few weeks away—January 3, 2018, at 12 p.m. ET.

“Round 2 is a great time to apply!” Losee encouraged. He added that it’s also the last opportunity to apply to the school’s inaugural MS/MBA joint degree cohort. Students in this new program—which includes four semesters of coursework over two years plus an additional three-quarters of a semester worth of work completed in the summer and January term—will graduate with a Master of Science in Engineering Science from the Harvard School of Engineering Applied Science (SEAS) in addition to an HBS MBA.

According to Losee, his team fully expects that vast majority of applications to pour in no more than 24 hours before the deadline. “We get it—and we won’t start reading any applications until after the deadline has passed,” he wrote. “Just be sure to coordinate with your recommenders ahead of time so that all your application materials are submitted on time,” he advised.

For those who have questions about the application process, HBS will be hosting an admissions Q&A webinar tomorrow, December 20th, at 4 p.m. ET. If there are things you’re unclear about, you’d do well to tune in then, because HBS will be closed from December 22nd through January 1st with only limited technical support available at [email protected].

“We’re back in the office at 8:30 a.m. on January 2nd for any last-minute questions you may have: 617-495-6128 or [email protected],” Losee added.

Good luck to those of you working on Round 2 applications!
