The following Michigan / Ross MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them!
The interview day schedule for Ross is pretty elaborate. I arrived to the Ross building early in the morning, after check in you go to a room with all the other applicants interviewed that day. Your name tag has a color and a number which is used when they divide you up in the groups for the interview and team activity. The dean and other staff member introduce themselves and then the first group of students go to the interviews. the students that stay will have time to network with the representative from the different student centers at Ross. I was part of the 2nd block of students to interview so i had to wait which made me more nervous.
The student that interviewed me was super friendly and it was very conversational. It was a blind interview and he only had a copy of my resume. He asked me the following:
walk me through your resume
why Ross
what will you contribute to campus
what do you hope to gain
the group activity if simple and fun. you sit with two current students and a group on other candidates and they give you a times activity. The current students take notes and grade you as you are working with the team but its not intimidating.
overall i really enjoyed the interview experience and all the activities they had planned.
