The following Georgetown McDonough interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them!

Interviewed in November 2017 at the admissions office inside the Hariri Building. The experience was way more laid back than I expected. My interviewer was a second-year student wearing jeans and an untucked polo. He hadn’t seen my resume before so most of the questions he asked me were just trying to paint a picture of where I was in my career and what my goals are. Questions included:

1. Tell me about yourself/describe your resume
2. Greatest strengths
3. A time you had to make an unpopular decision
4. Long term/short term goals
5. Why MBA? Why McDonough? Why now?
6. Where else applying? What will drive your final decision?

Then I asked him a few questions and the whole thing was done in 20 minutes. I have since been admitted. To be honest the admissions department felt a bit disorganized but I have been very impressed with others I have met and every other aspect of the school and I plan on enrolling for this fall!

After your interview, be sure to add your first-hand account of the Georgetown MBA interview questions to the Clear Admit MBA Interview Archive.
