London Business School Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alum / Off-Campus

Interview was in Mumbai at the office of my alumnus. It was an application-based alumni interview. He knew my goals and background.

LBS interviews are long in nature (~2 hours). The format was – 1 hour of standard questions, 30 mins of presentation on case study, 30 mins of general chit chat.

Standard Qs were on the lines of –
1. Tell me about a time you worked on a team
2. What is your long term goal
3. Short term goal
4. Why LBS
5. Professional experiences (deep into these)
6. Passions and hobbies

I thought the interview went well. There were no random surprises and the interviewer was given a detailed script (he was merely adhering to the list of questions and the script).

I think LBS interviews are far more predictable and I daresay, simpler than the others. You can ‘prepare’ for them. If you interview in R1, your odds are fairly high I’d say.
