Commentary:
Did you receive your admissions decision? Not yet, expected next week.
What did you think of the interview? They give you a few long answer questions and it is on you to manage that time and what you want to capture in the responses because they are unlikely to ask follow up questions on that subject.
What surprised you? It is less of a conversation than other schools. Much more of a monologue.
What didn’t surprise you? The Adcom was most enthusiastic and engaging during the “Why Darden” question.
What might you conclude about the school based on this experience? It was positive, but Darden focused vs. applicant focused.
What advice would you have for future interviewees? Plan on driving the conversation. They are going to ask a few questions and then let you run with it. Make sure you have avenues built in to allow you to get all of your points across based on the assumption that you will only get about 3 questions and 45 min.
