This edition of Real Humans: MBA Students takes us to London to meet some new members of the London Business School MBA Class of 2023.

LBS welcomed 511 new students this fall. Thirty-eight percent of the MBA Class of 2023 are women. LBS prides itself on being an international melting pot, and 90 percent of students come from outside of the United Kingdom. The LBS Class of 2023 represents 67 different nationalities. Twenty-one percent joined the new class from North America and 30 percent came from Asia. Another 16 percent of candidates represent Europe (excluding the UK) and 11 percent joined from Latin America. Four percent each came from Oceania, the Middle East, or Africa.

New LBS students averaged five years of work experience before matriculating. A third had worked in consulting and roughly a quarter came from financial services. Seven percent or less came from industries including IT&T/electronics, FMCG/luxury goods/e-commerce, energy, healthcare/pharma/biotech and more. When it came time to take the GMAT, the LBS MBA Class of 2023 averaged a score 0f 708. Scores ranged from 590 to 790 across the class.
