The interviewer was a friendly second-year student, we started with some small talk. The interview was only based on my resume. It lasted 45 minutes.

I received the following questions:

  • Tell me about yourself.
  • Why did you choose your first job?
  • Tell me about these specific interests on your resume.
  • Why Tuck?
  • Why is now the right time for an MBA?
  • What is your greatest professional accomplishment?
  • Tell me about a time you helped someone even when it wasn’t convenient for you.
  • Tell me about a time you received feedback.
  • How would you contribute to a study group at Tuck?
  • What is your biggest regret?
  • Is there a book you read recently that you really enjoyed?
  • Is there anything else you would like to share about your application?
  • What questions do you have for me?

Generally I think it was a relatively standard interview. I was a bit surprised by the question about helping someone when it wasn’t convenient for me because that is also an essay question, but I guess the interviewer wouldn’t have seen my essays.
