Cornell Johnson MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Virtual

My interview was very conversational with a 2nd-year student, who was very friendly and professional. He had my resume and some notes from the AdCom.

It was around 30 mins + 15 mins for my questions to the interviewer.

Questions:
1. Tell me about yourself and your professional background.
2. Why MBA? Why now?
3. What will you add to Johnson’s community?
4. What if your plan A (career path) didn’t work?
5. What are your short- and long-term career goals?
6. Why this career & why this company?

Throughout the interview, the interviewer always made affirmative comments that showed his genuine interest in me as a person and in my story as a professional. He also shared some insights about his MBA journey, challenges and gave it a personal sense by sharing his personal experience in Ithaca. He just confirmed to me my impression about Johnson community being humble, friendly and genuinely helpful.
