Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
I was looking for a new challenge. I was looking for interpersonal growth and wanted to be in an international environment where I was learning from multi-talented individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Why did you choose IMD? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
IMD highly emphasized its focus on interpersonal development, which was quite distinct to the other schools I spoke to. It brings an intimate class experience where you’re more than just a number, are name basis with your professors and I like that it was one of the first business schools pioneering the incorporation of AI into its program. Beyond this, I found the location ideal, Lausanne is beautiful and Switzerland is so central. This has allowed to explore many other countries during my MBA year.

What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the Class of 2025?
There’s a great sense of camaraderie. A strong sense of support for each other. I’ve had classmates introduce me to their networks and forward job ads they think would appeal to me. A win for a person in the class really feels like a win for all.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that didn’t get included on your application:
I’ve always had great teeth as a kid. I was once in a Colgate ad when I was 3 years, completely random and spontaneous moment.

Post-MBA career interests:
I would like to shift it more strategic corporate roles. I think consulting may be a great next step to prepare me for it and give me some multi-industry experience.

Advice for Current Prospective Applicants:
–What is one thing you would absolutely do again as part of your application process?
Take my time, research thoroughly before selecting a school. Do my GMAT well in advance, it’s great having the confidence of a decent score.

–What is one thing you would change or do differently?
Apply at an earlier round. I applied at the final round, was a bit chaotic leaving my job and making the move – exciting, but chaotic.

–What is one part you would have skipped if you could—and what helped you get through it?
I would say the VISA process, though IMD really offered a ton of supporting in managing the admin.

What is your initial impression of the IMD students/culture/community?
The program is run incredibly smooth and efficient. From getting accepted to physically coming to Switzerland, I was given support at every step. I was able to speak to someone from the program quickly and regularly, honestly made geographical shift a ton easier. I felt very welcomed.

What student organizations have you joined/are you hoping to join and why?
I help run the DE&I committee. The idea of creating fun events encouraging inclusion and shared experiences from diverse backgrounds was the driver. A highlight for me was experiencing the Holi celebration with my fellow class mates from India. I’ve also joined the Technology club, Consulting Club and Entrepreneurship Club as these are areas I was curious to learn more about.

What is one thing you have learned about IMD that has surprised you?
IMD really encourages the students to be contributors in tailoring the program. Feedback is encouraged and considered, there are many opportunities for students to lead and run with initiatives across the campus.

What is one thing you are most excited about in your first year?
Meeting new people from entirely different backgrounds than my own. Having friends from across the globe.
