Meet some new members of the London Business School MBA Class of 2028 in this edition of Real Humans: MBA Students. Hailing from across the globe, these students bring diverse professional experiences to LBS’s international community, collaborative culture and London’s dynamic business landscape.

To start, Charles Jennison, originally from New Zealand, joins LBS after five years at HelloFresh, where he served as a senior strategy manager. Having gained experience in the fast-paced food industry and witnessed shifting consumer preferences firsthand, Charles is pursuing an MBA to strengthen his management and strategic decision-making skills. Next, Ellen Ehrnrooth brings a global perspective shaped by her upbringing in London, studies at Tufts University, and professional experience in Washington, D.C. After working in public policy analysis at Raymond James Equity Research and the Institute of International Finance, Ellen is eager to expand beyond policy-focused roles into corporate strategy or leadership development.

We also meet Eva Stewart, who arrives at LBS with a background that combines healthcare education with entrepreneurial leadership in the mining industry. As managing director of an Australian Indigenous business group, Eva has built and led businesses spanning civil earthworks, transport, logistics, and equipment services. Having reached a point where she can step back from daily operations, she is pursuing an MBA to develop her strategic leadership capabilities and broaden her international network. Then, Karan Vir Malhotra brings experience in investment banking, private equity, and family office investing. A graduate of NYU Stern, Karan worked at DC Advisory and P4G Capital Management before joining his family’s investment platform, MaLinea Global. At LBS, he hopes to broaden his leadership perspective before returning to the family office to expand its investment capabilities, develop an independent track record, and build new ventures across industries and geographies.

Nicolas Lozano Landinez comes to LBS following eight years as a U.S. Army infantry officer. Stationed primarily in Italy and Germany, Nicolas led multinational training initiatives alongside NATO units and supported training for Ukrainian forces. He is now transitioning into venture capital, with a particular focus on European defence technology, resilience, and industrial innovation. Already working as an MBA associate at an early-stage defence-focused venture capital firm, Nicolas hopes to use his LBS experience to deepen his investment expertise and help scale technologies that strengthen European security. Rounding out the group is Sofia Castillo Guerrero, a Bogotá native who spent five years at AB InBev as a growth manager before completing a pre-MBA summer internship at BCG. With a background in economics and industrial engineering from Universidad de los Andes, Sofia came to LBS to develop the self-awareness, influence, and leadership skills she admired in successful business leaders. She is considering opportunities in European retail or management consulting while embracing the school’s international community. Already elected as a student representative for her stream, Sofia is helping foster connections among classmates and plans to participate in the Women in Business and Latin American clubs.

Together, these members of the London Business School MBA Class of 2028 demonstrate the breadth of experience, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to leadership that characterize the LBS community. Read on to discover more about their journeys to business school, their advice for prospective applicants, and what excites them most about the next two years in London.
