The following Columbia Business School MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by an Early Decision MBA applicant. Good luck to them!

It was a very conversational interview. The second-year student has not read my application and he only had access to my resume. He kicked off with the typical tell me about yourself question and the conversation naturally flowed from there. I asked a lot of questions about his experience and got some pointers on what to expect in the first year of business school. Whenever we exhausted a topic, he would proceed with another open-ended question. This repeated until we ran out of time.

Questions:

  1. Tell me about yourself.
  2. Why MBA?
  3. Why Columbia?
  4. Why consulting?
  5. Do you have any questions for me?
