Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
The landscape is changing now more than ever, with more and more businesses focusing on environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG), sustainable practices and focusing on data-driven approaches in making critical decisions. I want to be at the forefront of this global shift in organizational focus and learn how to become an effective future leader. 

Why did you choose Carroll School of Management? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
Apart from its exceptional finance and data analytics focused curriculum, the school has a strong alumni network that is more than willing to guide and facilitate incoming students. 

What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the Class of 2023?
My experience working in an emerging market gives me a chance to offer a unique perspective during classroom discussions.  

Tell us a fun fact that didn’t get included on your application:
Home to five out of fourteen highest mountain ranges, Pakistan is naturally a great place to visit if you are an avid trekker like myself. My last trek was to Haramosh, part of the Karakoram range, and took over five days to complete.  

Post-MBA career interests:
I would like to pursue a career in healthcare consulting post MBA. 

Advice for Current Prospective Applicants:
Definitely step outside of your comfort zone and reach out to current students and alumni. You would be surprised with how willing everyone is to facilitate you!  

–What is one thing you would absolutely do again as part of your application process?
Applying to the program early! Do not wait till the last minute to apply.

–What is one thing you would change or do differently?
I would reach out to more alumni for phone calls or coffee chats!

–What is one part you would have skipped if you could—and what helped you get through it?
Honestly, I would skip nothing! The entire process was smooth and exciting!  

What is your initial impression of the Carroll School of Management students/culture/community?
An extremely diverse and friendly community that is willing to go out of its way to accommodate you in any way it can. 

What is one thing you have learned about Carroll School of Management that has surprised you?
The numerous amounts of resources you have at your disposable to succeed during and after your MBA program. 

Has the COVID-19 pandemic affected your personal application or admissions process in any way? If so, how?
The admissions team was extremely accommodating and flexible with any issues that arose due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

What is one thing you are most anxious about in your first year?
Securing an internship for the Summer of 2022. 

What is one thing you are most excited about in your first year?
Getting to know my cohort and creating the most memorable memories with them!
