The second-year student did not have my resume or anything from my application. They made me feel very comfortable in a heavily conversation-based interview. It was roughly 40 min long, we went past the allotted time, but the student was very engaged and wanted to continue.
- We started with “Tell me about yourself” and subsequent questions were based off of my responses, not a set list.
- Why did you go into your industry?
- Why do you want to leave?
- Why MBA?
- Why Darden?
The rest of the interview was focused on specifics about what I was interested in at Darden and what experience I already had in terms of academics, diversity, and team building.
Overall a very relaxed setting and the student was supportive and wished me luck at the end.
