Duke / Fuqua Interview Questions & Reports: Round 1/ Second-year student/ Skype

The following Duke / Fuqua interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by an Early Action Round applicant. Good luck to them! I just interviewed with a second year student at Duke Fuqua and here is my review: – It was very relaxed and conversational, without surprising or tricky questions. It lasted about 45 mins (35 minutes for me answering and last 10 minutes for me to ask anything about the school, program). Some of my questions were: 1. Tell me about yourself 2. Why an MBA right now? 3. Why Fuqua? 4. Tell me about a time when you got out of... Read more »

The following MIT Sloan MBA interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! The interview happened in one of the admin’s office. After checking yourself in I was told to wait a little bit until the interviewer called me. While waiting, I had a brief conversation with some other interviewees. MIT Sloan Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom/ On Campus

The following MIT Sloan interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them! Since I utilized prior interview reports on this site I feel inclined to pay it forward and share my experiences. My interview was extremely straightforward and exactly what I suspected. The only two things that surprised me were: 1) How informal it was, it was conducted in the office of my interviewer complete with family photos and coffee mugs 🙂 2) Ho transparent my interviewer was. She explained the entire process and exactly what happens after our interviewer. She said it was her job... Read more »

Cornell Johnson MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-year and Adcom/ On-campus

The following Cornell Johnson MBA interview questions & report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! I was interviewed on March, 2017 on-campus by a second-year student as well as an adcom representative. Though I was told the adcom would be present to evaluate the interviewing skills of the second-year, the adcom representative kept asking me follow-up questions during my conversation with the second-year. It was slightly uncomfortable for me because the adcom was sitting at one far end of the room (vs the second year across the table from me) and the continuous interruption threw me off... Admissions Tip: Avoid the Comparison Trap

We wanted to take some time today to discuss a frequently made mistake in the application process. In their desire to make their case to their target MBA programs, many applicants devote sentences and even paragraphs to explaining why the school in question is their “first choice” and arguing its superiority over other schools. A popular strategy – and not always bad one – for applicants seeking to demonstrate their fit... Read more »
