Wharton MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom / Off-Campus Hub
A Wharton MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant off-campus. Description / location of visit and/or interview atmosphere: Interviewed at the Wharton SF Campus, which is a surprisingly large floor of a building filled with office rooms, classrooms, and a large cafeteria space. Reception was very friendly and offered coffee / tea / juice, and possibly breakfast pastries. Others I would interview with were already there and we were kind of allowed to just wherever we wanted throughout the space. This was a good opportunity to lightly chat about the upcoming interview to

Wharton MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom / Off-Campus Hub
A Wharton MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant on-campus who took part in their Team Based Discussion. I arrived at the interview around 15 minutes early. Was able to meet with fellow interviewees who were part of my Team Based Discussion (TBD) group — I interviewed in a hub city so, at least for my time slot, everyone in the lobby at the time was in my group. The TBD itself went by quickly: we settled into different roles, such as note-taker, timekeeper etc. Overall it felt like a great flow and very

Yale SOM MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Adcom / Off-Campus Hub
A Yale SOM MBA interview report questions were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 2 applicant who interviewed off-campus. The interview was held at a hotel (in March 2018), I went in expecting a conference room but once I opened the door it was a huge room with just a table with two chairs on one end (later I learned that it was an actual conference hall). I think I was a little nervous but the room a bit intimidating. The interviewer was an adcom member who had traveled all the way and was interviewing candidates all day. I met a couple

Rochester / Simon MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom / Off-Campus Hub
A Rochester / Simon MBA interview questions and report submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 MBA applicant. The interview was extremely conversational, we started with at least 15-20 minutes discussing her visit to my country (Dec 2018) and my travel to this city (I drove into the city that morning). The interview was held in a hotel lobby coffee shop (anyone could have heard what we were talking about though no one was really interested). The adcom member was very nice and explained beforehand that the interview would be 45 min long and that she had not seen

Chicago Booth Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-year student / On-campus
A U. Chicago Booth MBA interview report and questions were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant on-campus. I had my interview on-campus with a second year student. He arrived promptly and we interviewed in a small room in the admissions office. The interview appeared blind, as he had limited background on my application and appeared to only have my resume. After a brief introduction he asked me to introduce myself, then we spent ~30 minutes on various questions, followed by five minutes of questions for him. The questions were fairly standard. Questions What other activity (other

A Northwestern / Kellogg MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant off-campus. I met with a Kellogg alum at a coffee shop in New York City. The interviewer had not seen my application but had seen my resume. The interview started off with questions about my background and why I wanted to get an MBA. This discussion lead naturally to questions about challenges in my career thus far, what I had learned from them, and what I would do differently. After that the discussion transitioned to what I wanted to do in the future, and

UT Austin / McCombs MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second Year Student / On Campus
A UT Austin / McCombs MBA interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. The interview took place on a Friday when the school was also offering tours, student and alumni panels, etc. After meeting my interviewer, we walked to a small room with one table with two chairs; I’m guessing it was a team study room. The interview was blind but it looked like my interviewer had made a few notes on my resume, so I believe she had spent a couple minutes with it before we talked. While we were performing the

UT Austin / McCombs MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-Year Student / Skype
A UT Austin / McCombs MBA interview questions and report were submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Interviewed on Skype with a Second Year Student, but the interview format was the same as all of their on-campus interviews. He was super nice/conversational. He did take notes during the interview, but it was mostly just chatting. Unfortunately, my video kept cutting out (three times), yet he was very nice about my IT issues and was very supportive. His questions were around academic background/pre-MBA career/post-MBA career plans. He had access to my resume but that was it. A mix

Cornell Johnson MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / 2nd Year Student / On-Campus
A Cornell Johnson MBA interview report with questions was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant on-campus. I interviewed during Johnson’s Round 1 LEAD event, but the interview process is similar to all of their MBA interviews. My interview was with a 2nd year student and it was pretty brief and conversational. Compared to all of my previous interviews, I was surprised that I wasn’t asked any behavioral type questions during the interview – it was mostly focused on “Why Johnson” and what my post-MBA goals are. Overall, interview only lasted about 30 minutes. Questions Walk me through

A Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan MBA interview report with questions was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant on-campus. Interviewed on campus during a designated interview day at Ross. It’s a full day of activities, but the interview is the first thing we did as soon as arriving on campus and having a quick welcome address from the admissions team. Everyone interviews with a 2nd year student on campus at Ross – my interviewer was very nice and it was a very casual and conversational environment. We both had similar post-MBA goals,

UVA Darden Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-year student / On-campus
UVA Darden MBA Interview report from a Round 1 applicant on-campus. Arrived day before the interview and stayed at Inn at Darden (very convenient location for an early morning interview; free parking). Checked in at Saunders Hall around 7:30-40am for 8am interview with a second-year student. Do NOT bring a copy of your resume. Interview is blind. As you may have seen in other Darden post-interview reports, the big interview question was, “Tell me about yourself.” I talked for about 35-40 minutes about my childhood/upbringing, college days, and professional experience, and explained how all of those experiences led me to

UVA Darden Interview Questions & Report: Dec (EMBA) / Adcom / Sands Family Grounds (Rosslyn)
December EMBA Interview at UVA Darden with Adcom. Very conversational. We toured the Sands Family Grounds first, then found an empty room to pop into for the interview. I believe it was blind, though I’d had a phone conversation with this particular adcom person a month prior. Questions She asked me to walk her through my timeline in chronological order. She’d ask clarifying questions Why did I pick the Marine Corps? What role to I typical play on a team? (for example). The interview was way easier than I expected and felt like a meet and greet typical at work.

Wharton Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-year student / On-campus
A Wharton interview report with questions was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant on-campus. I arrived at my interview about 15 minutes early. The lobby was filled with interviewees. People recommended arriving early to bond with your TBD group, but for me, it was impossible to know who my TBD teammates were. I guess if you are interviewing at a hub city the situation might be a bit different. I also don’t think it matters too much as people were all very nice to each other. Team Based Discussion (TBD) Our TBD went very quickly and smoothly.

An MIT Sloan MBA interview report with questions was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant off-campus: These reports helped me prepare my interview a lot, so here’s giving back to the community! I applied for LGO class of 2021 Round 1. My interview was with Ms Dawna Levenson in early November in London. The experience was very pleasant, not as structured as I anticipated – it was a lot more like a conversation rather than just questions & answers. An MIT Sloan MBA interview report with questions was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant on-campus: I interviewed in the afternoon on campus. I spent the morning participating in a coffee chat with current students, attending a class, and then having lunch with current students. Overall the visit was well-programmed and really drove home how approachable and welcoming the MIT Sloan community is. We were told that interviews would last 30-45 minutes, and that they are behavioral event-based interviews (BEI), which are essentially deep-dives on behavioral questions and past actions.
