The interview was super casual with a second-year MBA student. My interview was held on campus during the Open Interview period. The interviewer was chill/friendly and made the process quite enjoyable. It was clear that he had a passion for Booth and really loved his time there. Overall pleasant experience. Lasted about 35-40 minutes and it was with a recent alumna (Class of 2023). It wasn’t as conversational as some of the other interview reports sound like. My interviewer jumped right in with the questions, but she did smile and seem very warm and receptive when I cracked jokes. Interviewer clearly conveyed that the purpose of this interview was to check whether I would be a good fit with the school. He had gone through my application. Majority of the interview was based around “Why Cambridge?” I feel I was appropriately able to showcase the alignment between my own collaborative values as well as the school’s values. I applied in the Early Action round and registered for the Open interview. I was interviewed by an adcom and there was also a student who joined us for the interview. Adcom was the lead interviewer and asked: Why MBA? Why Darden? Goals? Some questions related to resume? How will you contribute to Darden? TMAT when you had a disagreement with a colleague and how you handled it? Any other qs you wanna ask? The interviewer was a senior alum – very cordial and pleasant to talk with. He said at the beginning he would ask 5 questions. He asked – Why MBA & Why Fuqua, Goals, TMAT when you had to give a bad review to someone, TMAT when you got a feedback you didn’t agree with, What is your communicative style (with your team). The interview was very relaxed and communicative. The interviewer started by introducing herself and then asked the standard questions – Why MBA? Why Tuck? ST/LT Goals? Diversity example? Leadership example. After these qs, she gave me an opportunity to ask about her experience. I asked her about her FYP, internship and club related questions. Overall, it was a pleasant experience for me – the interview was 50 mins. Very positive interview experience. I interviewed with a second-year student that was completing the HSM certificate which I’m very interested in, so it was nice getting his prospective. It appeared as if it was the student’s first interview ever, so she read questions off her laptop the entire time and didn’t appear to listen to my answers. She constantly interrupted me and asked questions I had already answered.
